I loved them. So easy and the smell while they are on the grill is mouth watering.

Made these to go with the grilled burbon marinated beef tenderloin. Growing up we always added onions with a little butter and s&p wrapped in foil to the grill when had BBQ. These were very good, not remarkable. Not bad at all, but probably won't make them again. Very messy with a tablespoon of butter in addition to the moisture the onion produces.

I over-grilled the onions, but they were still pretty tasty. I am sure it would have been great had I not burned them!

I was really surprised by how sweet these onions are when grilled this way. I know they are a sweet onion, but wow... it tasted like I'd poured sugar on it! I think I may use an onion that isn't quite as sweet next time.

This is an incredible recipe for the true novice. Turns out absolutely perfect, with no effort at all. For even better results, increase the cooking time by about 15 minutes. The best beef bouillon cube to use is England's OXO, found in most supermarkets' international sections.
It's less salty and has a much "beefier" taste.

These are really good if when you are done cooking them you slide them into a bowl of hot beef broth!

I make these at least twice a month. My family abolutely loves this recipe. Like all of Paula's recipes, it's simple and very easy to make with tons of flavor. I cook mine in the oven along with whatever roast or baked chicken I'm making for dinner.

A co-worker gave me this recipe. When she said it was Paula's, I had to try it. It does taste like french onion soup and is wonderful with any meat I grill. So easy too. Thanks Paula!!!
