I finally found some vidalia onions to try this recipe. I baked them in the oven for the specified time and temp., but they came out not fully cooked, still hard and raw. I don't think I used enough butter.
Two things I would do differently is use more butter and cook for a much longer period of time.
The flavor of what was cooked was delicious!!

These are amazing! I tried them for the first time last night, and I was so impressed. I used regular sweet onions since I didn't have vidalia, and they were so great... tender, flavorful. Everyone raved about them. This is a new staple in my repetoire. Way to go Paula!

These onions are so easy and delicious that everytime we fire up the grill, we throw on a couple of onions. I have found that Extra Virgin Olive Oil works well in place of the butter.

Any recipe that not only taste fabulous, is quick and easy AND requires only four ingredients is a WINNER. Technically, it's only 3 ingredients because I never add the pepper (I forgot it even list pepper and it's still taste great. We make this any day of the week in the toaster oven at 500 degrees for about an hour. During the summer months it cuts down on the heat of the oven. Don't let the heat stop you from trying this recipe!

My husband and I truly love these as a side to our BBQ's. My nieces, who are not fans of onions at all, have tried them and complimented them. They taste so good and are so easy. Thank you!

These are great in the summer served on just about anything you can grill. They are also so easy. They are great served on crusty french bread and toped with melted swiss cheese. Way to go Paula!

Excellent! Easy! Yummy! I served this with a steak & yam. My husband said next time to add the steak in with the onion. We did not find that it tasted like french onion soup though.

These were so good my mouth is watering thinking about them. I did them in the oven in a roasting pan with a lid and they looked elegant. The bullion I used was a little salty, but overall they were wonderful.
