I add munster or swiss cheese on the top right before serving and broil it. Its almost like a baked frnech onion soup. We love this its our new fav with steak or chops.

This is absolutely wonderful! It is just like french onion soup! We saw this and had to make it the next day. We love french onion soup, so we didn't quite know how this was going to measure up....but WOW~! I would suggest using unsalted butter, and I will probably only use 1/2 bouillon cube next time because we don't like things quite that salty. I also added just a drop or two of worcestershire sauce. I sprinkled some Gruyere cheese on top right out of the oven. This will definitely be my go-to french onion soup. Thanks again, Paula, for a another wonderful recipe!
