My husband made these for our Christmas party. They were a hit. Like bite-sized sausage biscuits with cheese.

These were great. Everybody loved them. Weren't dry like one commenter put. I read a couple of the comments from people about them being a little bit oily. I used Jimmy Dean sausage and they were fine. Experimented with different varieties of sausage. Found I like the hot sausage best. Also tried once reducing the Bisquick down to 2 cups. It worked for me anyway by making the balls more meaty. Family loved them more with the reduced Bisquick. Paula hasn't failed me yet.

Diane from Antioch, TN hit the nail on the head: 2 cups bisquick, 2 cups (not preshredded sharp cheddar, 1 lb. sausage, bake at 325 for 15-20 minutes. I also added just a splash of milk to wet the mixture a little. These were soooo good, everyone at our New Year's Eve party gobbled them up. They're also perfect for breakfast.

I have been making this recipe for over 20 yrs. But my recipe calls for 1lb.sweet Italian sausage 2c.bisquick & 2c. cheddar cheese. I don't grease the pan (there is enough fat in sausage. When making, leave the sausage at room temp. since the fat in the sausage will be easier to work with.

This is a great recipe. I made it after watching this episode of Food Network. However, 4 cups of cheddar is a mistake! Had alot of cheese leftover and had to throw it away. Checked the recipe in her "Lady and Sons Savannah Country Cookbook" and it calls for 2 cups of cheese. Make sure this is the amount you use!

theses were so easy and turned out really well. it was a lot easier than making the sausage patties and the biscuits...i didn't have bisquik so i just made my own biscuit mix (everything but milk and i used turkey sausage. it worked really well and they tasted great.

I saw this recipe on Paula's Home Cookin this morning, and I made them tonight, cause it just looked so good easy and it was! Went to the grocery store bought 3 things and that was it. My husband loves them ( so does my dog, she got the first one when it rolled off the pan she didn't even mind that it was burning hot!!!

I have been looking for this receipe! About 10 years ago my mother-in-law would bake these and bring them to the local high school football games. They are as good as I remember!

We had these every Christmas when I was a child. As we've gotten older we no longer have a big gathering with all the family. These are just like my aunt Fran used to make.

Salty, savory, crunchy, best right out of the oven. Super easy and totally yummy!

Tip: you can freeze unbaked balls in a zip-top bag and pull them out as you need them. Great for last minute guests anytime of day!
