I also used Jimmy Dean "Hot" sausage and found this recipe to be rather tasteless, too dry and the dip very lacking. Won't make again.

I made these for my husband's office Christmas potluck. They were gone in no time! Also good for grab-n-go breakfast. I agree to cut back on the bisquick.

A touch dry, but not bad. I think it need a touch less bisquick. Added a little bit a dried parsley and sage for a little more zip.

However, the dip was pretty plain: both look and taste. To make it a little more impressive, I added 1 teaspoon of dried dill, 1/2 teaspoon balsamic vinegar, 1/2 teaspoon white pepper, and to top it off, added one tablespoon of white wine (Chardonnay. Then refrigerated for 1 hour or so for all the ingredients to penetrate. Turned out great. Garnished with a sprinkle of paprika.

I made thses for a recent brunch and they were a big hit! Paula sure knows pork! I whipped up a quick honey mustard to serve with them and it was delicious.

These were so easy to make and got a lot of great comments at a group brunch. The presentation makes them look like they were hard work, but it only took me about 10 minutes to get them in the oven. A great recipe to use when you don't have much time!

Everyone loved these. I did make a few changes. I increased the ground sausage to 2 lbs and I mixed it in the food processor. I had made this prior to Thanksgiving and it was a bit dry.
