I read most of these reviews, have not tried them yet(ingredients in the fridgebut to the people who gave it a bad review, are you using preshredded cheese or grating it yourself? Freshly grated cheese has more moisture which is probably the reason why they are coming out dry(and over cooking a few minutes. Will let you know how these turned out.

I love Paula Deen as much as the next person, but these sausage balls were not good. Ick. If I made them again (which I won't, I'd add some liquid and cut back on the Bisquick.

My family was not too crazy about this recipe. You couldn't really taste the cheese or sausage. I even tried adding some onion for flavor and moisture. I probably wouldn't make this recipe again.

sausage balls were a weird consistency. baked balls were dry. it is hard to tell when the sausage is cooked through....not a keeper.

These were served at a party and everyone loved them. There wasn't one left over. Easy to make and a huge hit!

These are an old family favorite, which I rekindled after seeing this recipe. Man, these brought back great memories! They were totally excellent and moist and melted in your mouth. I think the key is to "over-work" the sausage and bisquick and use a fresh, store-processed sausage. Thanks for the memories, Paula!
