Having an abundance of Rainbow Swiss chard in my garden led me to search for recipes using chard. I saw this recipe on Paula's Best Dishes and made it that night. It is fantastic. I added some diced carrots for color but that is the only ajustment I made to the recipe. I will definitely be making this often during the winter months but it wouldn't be the same as picking my own out of the garden. Thanks Paula for another wonderful recipe.

Absolutly wonderful tasting and easy to make recipe. I used pork instead of turkey italian sausage. When I make again I will increase the chicken stock to 7 to 8 cups for more volume. With the amount of sausage, beans and swiss chards the additional broth will only make it better.

This soup was excellent! I'm growing Swiss chard in my garden so I have quite a bit of it so I was looking for recipes. I changed it a little bit because I had part of a great Nueske boneless ham so I used that instead of the sausage and added sliced carrots for color and more vegetables. Everyone in the family liked it. I will definitely make it again and maybe try it with the sausage.

I just loved this recipe. It's definitely a keeper. However, staying true to my Louisiana roots, I substituted andouille for the italian sausage and turnip greens with diced turnip for the swiss chard.

Great Soup! I was looking for a simple bean soup for my kids to try. All three of my kids loved it - so much that they want the leftovers in their lunch tomorrow. We had our soup with cornbread muffins and it was so delicious. This is now one of our family favorites - right up there with the mac n cheese :-

This is a wonderful recipe and very versatile as well. I made it using what I had on hand so I used regular (pork sweet Italian sausage and collard greens instead of the Swiss chard. I added the chopped greens towards the end of browning the sausage, onions and garlic and let them wilt down a bit before adding the remaining ingredients. I used lots of freshly ground black pepper. Great flavor and quick and easy. You have to serve corn bread or muffins with this, it's perfect.
