I loved this soup. And it was so easy and delicious. I used mild italian pork sausage, and I used kale instead of swiss chard. Will definitely make this again!

I saw this on your show and had to try it. I couldn't find swiss chard but had fresh spinach in my garden and used it. The soup was wonderful and I shared some with my neighbors and they too thought it was good! I will make this again for sure.

I saw this episode while I was jogging on my treadmill and thought it would be an easy, yummy soup. I've never made anything with swiss chard before, so I was glad to find that my grocery store carried it. This soup was delicious. Very flavorful and super easy to make. If I was to change anything I might increase the swiss chard, sausage and beans. I feel like there may have been a little too much broth. But otherwise, my husband and I both loved it and will make again.

My rating isn't totally fair because I did change up this recipe. I had to use spinach because Swiss Chard is not readily available in my area. I also dislike any type of bean so, I used 2 cans of diced tomatoes. Based on my changes, I still give the recipe 5 stars. The sausage gives such a great flavor, totally different from what I have come to expect from soup.

My friend was coming over to show me some pics of her Cali vaca, and she told me about this soup and said, "Let's cook it, it sounds delish". Well being the foodie that I am, I didn't say no and am I ever glad I didn't. This is really scrumptous. I used regular pre-cooked sauge, because couldn't find turkey sausage at my grocers. They must've been out of stock, cuz they usually carry it. I just added a little of my favorite hot sauce right in my bowl and boy was that one of the best soups I've had in a very long time. I will definitely be cooking this a lot and like jumbo1126 I will change it up with kale or spinach. I'm sure it would taste just as good. Thank you Paula!!!! You are truly a pleasure to watch. Love from my kitchen to yours!!!

Very tasty!!!!!!! I figured we would really like this but I do have one son that likes less heat and is not big on any type of greens what so ever, except Ice Burge lettuce, which to me is pretty much water! But I must say, thank you both soooooooooooo much!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He actually really liked this soup! I did do half hot & half sweet Italian sausage, I am just so happy that he liked it! And honestly, I double checked with him that it was good and that he would eat it a again, greens and all! I truly never thought I would get this pickey guy about greens to actually say yes Mom I really liked it! Thanks again, love you all!

Excellent! Easy to prepare. Delicious the next day also. Taste it before you add salt. It doesn't really need any added salt.

Saw this on tv this morning it looked so good. I added a can of diced tomatoes that had garlic, onions & olive oil in it. Added some Red Hot Pepper seeds to it. Grilled cheese sandwiches. A bottle of merlot! Great dinner.
