I made these and loved them. Mine did not ooze or burn. I used a pizza cutter to cut them. I drizzled chocolate on some and also had some chocolate syrup to dip them in. My family & friends liked the way they couldn't eat just one. I will make these again and try just cinnamon n sugar next time.

i would give this cookie a 5, but i don't like the dipping sauce. instead i melt down chocolate chips or hershey milk chocolate and drizzle over the top. this also makes it easier to give as gifts.

These look amazing, but I have a nut allergy. Has anyone tried something other than almond paste that would work?

Made this dessert last night for guest and got Rave reviews !!! After reading the reviews about the almond filling coming out during baking, I crimped all around each piece with a fork before baking. Still got a little leaking of filling but not too much. Delicious dessert both cookie and dipping sauce. Definitely will make again.

These tasty treats are a nice change to your everyday cookie. As they taste equally amazing with or whithout the chocolate dipping sauce, I much prefer them with! My only complaint with this recipe is that tempering the egg was very tricky. Overall worth it.

Excellent cookie & ez to make! I served along with other goodies to dip in my chocolate fountain - what a hit at a party. Everyone loved them the most of all goodies to dip.
