  • 3 cups shredded Cheddar
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour, plus more for kneading
  • 1 tablespoon garlic salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne

I had something similiar to these at a party recently and had to search to find a recipe. These were great! I added a 1/2 cup of walnuts (because the cookies at the party had them. I will increase the cayenne to 1/2 teaspoon because I really liked the spice.

Made this tonight it was GREAT. I did change a couple of things as I did not have cheddar cheese and I prefer chipotle. I used granulated garlic and sea salt as I do not have garlic salt in the house. So I used smoked Gouda and chipotle the flavor was amazing rich decedent. Just the way I like it.

I made this recipe as called for and it was very good as is. I do not know why Sally would need salted butter when it already calls for 1T of garlic salt.
