My fishmonger had some specials so I did a combo of shrimp, bay scallops, and lobster. I lightened the recipe by using 2% milk and the sauce thickened just fine. I also threw in a couple extra veggies because the mushrooms weren't enough. Lastly, for the biscuits I used a Bisquick Complete pouch for convenience, just doctored them up a bit. This was yummy, will make again.

This turned out GREAT! Absolutley DELICIOUS! Easy to make! I just used shrimp and imitation crab because I couldn't find scallops and the lump crab was a little expensive. Still tasted great. To shorten the prep-time, I bought a can of Pillsbury Buttermilk Biscuits for the top---just "doctored" them up a bit with garlic salt or powder, grated sharp cheddar cheese, dried parsley, and pepper. It looked beautiful and tasted amazing. In response to what to do with the butter (previous post you saute the veggies in it. Hope this helps.

Delicious!!! I omitted the 3T of melted butter as there were no directions as to what to do with it. The recipe is rich enough without it. I also added some chopped carrots and made Bisquick biscuits with buttermilk. It was yummy!!!!!

Very good!! I only used shrimp and crabmeat, and it was fabulous! The instructions aren't clear on what to do with the 3T of melted butter... so it worked wonderfully poured over the pot pies when removed from the oven. Mmmmmmmm!

I made this recipe to try something different with fish. I was getting tired of the old standby. I lightened it (sorry Paula! , but eliminating most of the butter and using 1% milk instead of 1/2 & 1/2. It was still thick and creamy. Its a keeper!

The first time I tried this, everyone loved it. Now it's a requested dish at our house

This was a great dish. Lots of flavor! I used bisquik for the crust instead. I also put it into one large Corningware dish, instead of individual dishes.
