I think that my husband and I enjoyed this meal more than the pot roast dinner. I cut back on most of the butter and omitted the sour cream and it was still great. I agree that some gravy is a must but I had some leftover anyway. The biscuit topping was excellent and super easy. We look forward to enjoying this meal again soon. Thanks Paula!

Looking for something to use my leftover pot roast. I was surprised to find gravy in the directions but not in the ingredients. Had pot roast but no gravy. It was too late to turn back. Needless to say the result was a bit dry. Not worth trying again.

I have made this several times and everyone always lovessssssssssss it.

I use organic ground beef in place of roast beef amd sprinkle cheddar cheese on top of the biscuits. mmmmmmmmmmmm!!

My kids love kfc's version of this but they say this is so much tastier. Maybe next time I will use some left over poultry in place of the beef.

I made this... but used leftover steak. Sort of "garbage" shepherd's pie. I used left over steak, fresh broccoli, hash browns instead of mashed potatoes. It was very good and very easy.

I was going to make pot roast ( a family favorite for my son's birthday, but the idea of transporting it made me think twice.Instead I cooked a large pot roast for 6 hours and made two casseroles of this recipe. My family couldn't get enough. They loved the biscuit topping and that it was all in one dish.I made it with the corn niblets as my family is not big on peas and carrots.Paula thanks so much.I love feeding my family and when they can't get enough it's even better.

Sheperd's pie is supposed to be from ground leftover lamb but alas many use ground beef which is actually cottage pie. Who ever heard of biscuit mix in Sheperd's pie ? I don't even think the Brits know what that is!!

This was a great way for our family to use leftover pot roast and green beans! I used instant mash potatoes and it tasted great. Especially easy for a quick weeknight dinner. Give this a try - you'll be happy you did! This isn't the forum for people to vent about whether a recipe is healthy or not or your personal feelings about a chef. Just rate the recipe if you've made. Or else, why are you here? Thanks, Paula!

This was an easy and good dish, some of you are saying her dishes are bad for you. If you feel that way don't make it and don't eat it. there are other Chiefs on this website that do make more figure friendly dishes. She is not making anyone make or eat her food come on people lets use a little common sense, just a little!

In my opinion, a reallly great cook/chef can cook healthfully AND make a dish taste good. It's much easier to throw fatty foods in a bowl and have it turn out "delicious". I wouldn't serve anything of Paula's without a defibrillator close by......or to anyone I cared about.
