My family loves it. It is easy to make. Whenever I make pot roast, I make extra meat and use the left overs.

This dish was great for my entire family! It got rave reviews from my husband and my kids: 6 yrs old and 4 yrs old. I took the advice of others who tried this recipe and added brown gravy to the ground beef and onions. I also used a cheese and garlic biscuit mix for the top. Soooo good! Thanks Paula!

I read the recipe three (3 times and never did find the Roast Beef! Ground beef is definitely NOT the same! Why not name the recipe simply Sheperd's Pie?

This is a tasty and hearty dish. We had a party of 9 and there was plenty left over. When pared with an Irish Pub Salad and Soda Bread, you will surely be satisfied. To save on fat and calories the 1/2 the butter could be spared, use a fat free sour cream, and use ground chicken/turkey or go with the leanest ground beef available.

I liked this one a lot. My GF was cravin' Shepherd's Pie, and she loved this one. She said that she prefers a more complicated taste with a bit more herbs. My only concern is that it is a bit heavy. I placed it in my comfort food box.

I've finally found a "casserole" that my meat-and potatoes family love! OK, so it is meat and potatoes but still... it is casseroled-concoction that went over huge. My kids are always excited to try something of Paula's and excitement at the table alongside dinner is always a plus.

This took me back to my youth, when my mom would come up with all the different ways to streach beef. Delicious!

I wanted to make my husband a delicious "comfort food" for a cold, snowy, winter supper and I chose this recipe. We both loved it and he told me not to lose this recipe...it is definitely a KEEPER! Thanks!
