My sister and I first had this dish at Paula Deen's Kitchen at Cherokee. NC and delicious is simply not enough of a descrption to describe this dish. Now that I have the recipe I will try it myself and that will have to hold me until I can get back to Paula Deen's Kitchen! :-

I think this is the perfect dish to eat while watching sports. Not to heavy. Just right. I prefer to eat mine with French bread. My hubby likes townhouse crackers. I added a little casserole cheese to the mix. We love it!!!!!!

Absolutely delicious! Be sure to get the celery and peppers really fine and sauteed well.

Made this last Sunday for a party, and it was a hit. I added several types of cheeses and fire roasted red pepper, a jalapeno and a few red pepper flakes and it was just delicious. I served it with thin sliced french bread baked with EVOO and it was the first thing gone at the party.

This is a great recipe! The first time I make a new recipe I invite a couple of friends over to find out what they think about it. Everyone loved it and I used it to put in a cookbook I'm writing. I have learned over the years to read the reviews and Paula certainly has a good record for 4 or 5 stars.

It was a big hit at the party, but I really think it needed a little "something"' else to spice it up, but not overwhelm the seafood. Will do this again, but will add some kind of pepper or spice to it - maybe a little crushed red pepper?
