Sorry Paula, I really wanted to like this dip but it was bland and very greasy. I did use canned crab and shrimp and maybe that was the problem. I have never seen cream of shrimp soup at the stores so I used some cream of celery soup instead. I love crab and shrimp and imagine that using fresh seafood would make a huge difference. I would also add some more flavors like garlic, fresh parsley, and some Old Bay. I was also thinking about using half the mayo called for and replacing it with cream cheese to cut the greasiness. The dip does have potential to be really tasty.
On a side note: I am so irritated that Food Network is allowing people to advertise their sketchy merchandise websites in the recipe reviews! Please stop allowing them to be posted!

YES -OMG saved this recipe over a year ago and finally made it last night -- easy and really good. My guests even ate it cold - i keep telling them to pop it in the microwave but they said it was good jus the way it was. NExt time I will not use Town house crakcers - they were 2 buttery and I will keep dip in a small crockpot to keep it atleast warm. Definitely will make his again. Thanks Paula

This looks really good and I want to try to make it. Can someone tell me if you are suppose to cook the shrimp before you put it in the dip? The recipe does not say. I know it has to cook for 30 minutes after you combine everything but i"m not sure if the shrimp have to be cooked first. Can someone help?

I made this for a spring party last year & everyone liked it. I made it for a work party for Xmas and everyone loved it but the person allergic to crab. I doubled the shrimp and 86'd the crab & it's just as awesome. For Xmas, I used a mix of green & red bells. Now I've got a friend who says she'll only come to my sring party this year if I make a double batch. So be it!! ENJOY EVERYONE!!!

This recipe did not go to waste though I had leftovers from the party. There were to many items at the party. We finished this up during the week. I did only half the mayo and added 4 oz cream cheese. Make sure you use good crab and good shrimp.
