My husband and I loved this recipe!! I added 2.5 tsp of Old Bay Seasoning and extra hot sauce and it was great!!

I will be making this often! It was easy, delicious and no-fuss. I sort of slacked on the hot sauce, cutting it back to 1 teaspoon, next time I'll add the whole amount. I also added some bay scallops as I only had a 12oz pkg of frozen jumbo shrimp. Wow.. it was incredible.

Awesome recipe. Have made it several times and we love it. Every now and again I add some smoked turkey sausage for some extra flavor. Not only good tasting but good for you too!

Did not care for this recipe at all. Expected a good southern recipe with flare but got a plain shrimp with tomato sauce on rice. Only reason I gave it one star instead of 0 is because we will not be throwing it in the trash. Very disappointed

This recipe was great!! With a house full of picky eaters this worked for everyone. I used the recommended amount of hot sauce and those that wanted more heat added it themselves. Next time I am going to add sausage based on the reviews it only gets better.

Simple easy recipe for busy weeknight, I did use more seasoning. I also used our favorite kind of hot sauce that has lots of flavor and isn't just hot like tabasco.

I completely agree with iluvpink. This was very bland. My boyfriend and I kept putting more salt for some type of flavor. But of course I won't give up on Paula, she's amazing, but this dish wasn't.

My husband and I were so disappointed with this recipe. It was completely bland and boring. I love Paula, but this dish is not a winner.

Wow, Paula, you make me feel like I can cook from scratch! I did not use a crockpot either. Used my Dutch oven. I used your recipe as a base. Added Creole seasoning, bayleaf. My husband loved it ........so much lighter than jambalya. Froze some of the sauce for a quick week night dinnner.

Very tasty dish with a few additions. I added Cajun smoked sausage and Gumbo Creole seasoning.
