Extremely easy to make, tastes delicious!! I made it on the stovetop in a pot instead of my crockpot and let it simmer for about 2 hours. I highly recommend this recipe!

Very tasty! I had to make a dish for pot luck so I made some variations that still had people raving. I used cooked/cubed chicken thighs instead of shrimp. Added a can of rotel tomatoes and used tony chachere's creole seasoning instead of chili powder. Instead of green onions, I chopped some fresh cilantro and added while cooking. Also added some white wine and omitted the sugar and hot sauce. The rotel's and creole seasoning gave it just the right amount of zip. This is better "over" rice, but since I had to do the pot luck thing, I cooked the rice and added it until I had almost a gumbo consistancy.

This was amazing!!! I read most of the reviews and added a few things like the garlic and heavy cream. I have never made anything like this before and don't know why! It was so easy to do and tasted fantastic!
I did not use a crockpot, just cooked in a large dutch oven on the stove.
Would reccomend using stewed tomatoes and topping the dish with fresh green onions like Paula did on the show. I can't wait to make it again with chicken instead of shrimp! Thank You Miss Paula!

Loved this dish as my first crock pot meal! I added more shrimp and omitted the tabasco in the main dish but added it to my bowl when served so my kids would eat it too. Everyone loved it! My husband gave it 4 stars and when I asked what would make it 5 stars he said: "If it were ribs!" Guess he loves ribs a bit more! I gave it four stars only because I added more shrimp. Thank you Paula!

Way too hot and my husband and I eat jalapenos. I had to throw it out. I would probably be fine without the tabosco sauce. I thought the sugar was a bit much also.

This was very tasty! When i tasted the sauce periodically during the 3 hour cook time, It didn't taste half as delicious as when i put the dish together completely. The final dish is delicious! I will definitely make this again.

This recipe is a keeper! I doubled the recipe for a quick supper between shows during a weekend of Shakespeare productions. What a treat for my guests, it was so easy to finish off the shrimp while the rice cooked. I used San Luis hot sauce which gave the dish a wonderful kick. Excellent!
