My husband really liked this. I don't like seafood so I made it just for him. He was telling everyone how good it was

Awesome!! Second time I've made it and got great response from my family. Not sure what Sarah_611 did differently, but it's so good I double the sauce and freeze it for future meals. Love, love it! Thanks!

I did not complete this recipe, because when the sauce was done there was so little and it did not have a very good taste. Rather disappointing.

I make this dish several times a year, but it's now become a Christmas Day tradition! It's so easy to prepare, and so spicy and warm-- perfect for a lazy day at home unwrapping presents. It perfect in a slow-cooker, or just on the stove top.

I used a few pounds of fresh shrimp that I just bought here in Paradis, LA; about 20 miles west of New Orleans. Don't be afraid to substitute I'm not saying to flip in a toe nail or two; but use some fresh produce..............Get yourself sum Louisiana Shrimpsisis!!!!!!!!!!!!!! EXCELLENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've made this several times and it's always great! The only change I've ever made was not by choice. I had everything on hand except tomato sauce. I did have a can of tomato bisque in the pantry and used that instead. Wow -- extra smooth. II've also used cream of tomato soup and it turned out great. I agree with Connie -- serving 8 people with this would be tough -- it's just enough for the four of us. AND the amount of tabasco is perfect -- just the right amount of spicy. One more tip: I'm on a low-carb diet so last time I made this I served it over spaghetti squash. Honestly it was to die for! Please make this recipe -- you won't be sorry!

I followed recipe to the T and it turned out great!! My boyfriend said it was one of the best dishes I have ever made, and said he could eat it every week. The small amounts of tabasco and sugar were perfect. Any more and the dish would have been to sweet and to spicy. To make it even more convenient .... I used frozen (uncooked shrimp for Publix. I served it over whole wheat angel hair pasta. The only thing I disagree with is the number of servings ... if this is served as a meal, there is no way that 8 people can be served. My boyfriend had two good servings and I had one small serving. There was only enough left overs for 1 serving.
