Not sure how its supposed to taste. I thought it was good. Easy to make in crockpot. My husband ate it for 3 days. Didnt throw any of it away!

It has been so long since I saw this show--does she cook for 3 hours on high or low? I made this once before when the show aired and it was delicious.

This is a great dish. Very easy to make & I love that the ingredients are items that I keep in the pantry. My husband & 2 boys enjoyed it as well. Definitely a keeper.

I was surprised to learn that tofu goes well in this dish also.
I had leftovers of this dish as well as some tofu last night and decided to try them together. Delicious!
I also added the green onions this time and it made a real difference.

Okay, I'm always skeptical of dishes that are "Creole" or "Cajun" so I wasn't expecting to like this as much as I did. It kinda reminded me of my favorite dish, etouffee. I used Cayenne pepper instead of chili powder and added some garlic powder to it. I used Red Hot for the hot sauce too. Thank you Miss Paula Dean! Loved it and so did the rest of my "non-Cajun" family.

This recipe was absolutely delicious. However, we found that the rice took away from the flavor of the shrimp creole so we ended up using thin spaghetti instead. It was amazing! I could have licked the plate. Can't wait to have it again! Thank you!

My husband brought home a lot of shrimp after a recent fishing trip, and I have been looking for recipes to help me use them up! This recipe was perfect for a day when I didn't have a lot of money or time to spend on a meal. I went heavy on the onion, green pepper, and celery, and served it over rice with extra hot sauce and Tony Chachere's on the side. My husband and I both loved this easy, inexpensive, and delicious recipe! Thank you Paula!!
