Made these for a New Years Party that we go to every year at our friends back in 2006. There were a lot of people there and they were the hit of the party. They were so great and such a hit, I also made them in 2007 for the party.
I didn't realize exactly how big of a hit they were until I didn't make them for 2008 New Years party. I don't think I have seen a group of people get so dissappointed over food before and in a joking way ( I think , they told me don't show up this year 2009 unless I bring those potatos :
So here I am making those potatos !!
One of the things that I add to the mix is I add scallops with the shrimp.
When I cook the shrimp and the scallops I add garlic and seasoning with them and it really adds a lot of flavor to the potato.
So my advice is, cook these at home and have people eat them there, If you bring them to a party they will expect them all the time :

    Thanks Paula,
    Henry from New Hampshire

My husband, who is a wonderful cook, added these to our Christmas Eve dinner with prime rib. They were excellent and everyone raved about them, espically me. Since we had Montery Jack with jalapeno peppers he used that and it added a wonderful flavor along with the cheddar cheese. Since half a potatoe is all we all ate there were leftovers which warmed the next day were just as good.. Thank you Paula, this will become not only a Christmas Eve tradition but one to be enjoyed all year long.

I made this to go with lobster tails for our Christmas dinner. It was really good. I did pre-bake the potatoes the night before. That helped with the time, because this is a little bit time consuming. I used light sour cream and we added crumbled bacon on top and chives. I really liked these and would make them again. Our guests only had one half a potato each and that was plenty.

My husband and I saw these on her show several years ago and decided to try them for our Christmas that year. Absolutely the hit of our dinner! Everyone asks for them since. The shrimp add a great flavor to the "tried & true" twice- baked potato. These will make a meal by themselves. Thanks, Paula!

I have made these every Christmas since it aired but I substitute 1 lb. bacon for the shrimp. My family loves these. I especially love the extra cheese that on the bottom of the pan!!!!

I make these every Christmas. To save time I make as a casserole. This year my cousin is pregnant with twins and this has been one of her cravings so I have made it several times before the holidays. This dish is so simple to make and is loved by the whole family. Great with prime rib on Christmas.

Ever since discovering this recipe I have made them every Thanksgiving, Christmas and any other time I have an excuse. Be sure to make extra, because they go fast and are just as good the next day! I add a little garlic to my shrimp. My family's absolute favorite way to eat potatoes, Thank You Paula!

I cut this recipe in half using 3 large potatoes. It was enough for 6 people to have a full serving and enough for me to take to work the next day. Every one loved it.
