This is a wonderful example of Paula's cooking inventivness...I just love it!
And Joseph from HICKSVILLE ....Dear, no gentelman would ever speak that way of a lady. Shame on you. And to all of you who were subjected to this crass mans abusive remarks I do apologize for him since he seems to have had the bad manners not to do so himself. I would never want all you southern folk to think that all northerners are as base and vile as Joseph from HICKSVILLE.
May the north and south bloom together in culinary harmony :
Ms Susan McVay, Northern by birth, Southern by heart and American with Pride!

This recipe is so good. I have been looking for an easy and delicious cobbler recipe and I have found it. I used blackberries because that is all I had on hand and it was very yummy served with ice cream. I think I am going to try it with peaches next. Thanks Paula

Let me know how the cinnamon rolls work out for you Zerlene! I'm trying this recipe tomorrow when my daughter meets her great grandmother. Can't wait. And Susan M. from Newtown Square, is that all peaches or adding peaches instead of one of the other fruits? I love to take Paula's recipes and tweak them a bit.

My comment is for all of you calling each other "hillbillies' for not equating baking mix to Bisquick. Maybe those that don't know are new cooks. Stop being ugly!
If you want to criticize, go onto a newpaper blog and vent to your hearts' delight. That being said, I'm having a dinner party next week and this recipe sounds like it's the bomb! Thank you, Paula.

You are from a town called Hicksville and you call someone an "inbred hillbilly". I'm sure Paula would appreciate you not watching her show.
This cobbler turned out great, my family loved it! I love anything I can put in a crock pot.:

I have a very small slow cooker (3qt and the crust wasn't spread out enough so it was too thick. The crust absorbed almost all of the berries and juice. Taste was great, but next time I'll just make it in a regular 11x7 baking pan.

My siblings ate a few spoonfuls and said it tasted more like 'prune' cobbler, my husband thought it was pretty good, and I thought it was just ok. However, we all agreed that the biscuit topping was yummy.
Would not make again but may use the topping recipe for a peach cobbler.
