Paula, Paula....I'm bewildered. Since you're a professional restauranteur, why do so many of your recipes from your cooking show taste BLAND? Is it the fault of the written recipe? Are you pitching to the mediocre palate? Or are you keeping your best stuff secret? If the former, please have it fixed...if either of the latter, what are these recipes for? They don't flatter you, dear Lady.

My husband who was raised on pinto beans said these were quite tasty...I didn't quite see what was so special. They were easy to make though.

This is one of the easiest ways to cook beans - in the crock pot! I thought they were delicious. I put a tad bit too much onion in mine, but the family loved it anyway. Thank you Paula!

I used some of the House Seasoning as the recipe called for and the beans were not bland at all. I love the hamhocks in the beans too. Very good recipe--it's a keeper.
