Not good.Sorry Paula. Best meatloaf recipe is by Ina Garten from a restaurant she goes to w/ a garlic sauce featured in Food Network magazine.

Very Bland
Even after doubling the salt, we found this to be very bland. Actually, the star in this recipe was the Smokey Apple Cinnamon Sauce which added some flavor, which was in short supply in this dish. I'll make it again, but with some changes. The applesauce added little, if anything, to this recipe. If I substitute the smokey apple cinnamon sauce for the apple sauce, perhaps the overall flavor will be much better.

Haven't prepared the recipe yet; I gave the recipe five stars just for the visual appeal. Is there are recipe for Paula Deen Smokey Apple Cinnamon Sauce or is this a product to purchase?

Very easy recipe and my family loves it. They request it about every two weeks which is really a 5 star rating for me too.

I didn't follow the receipe exactly, I used 1 lb venison berger & 1 lb ground pork. Followed the receipe until I came to the Smokey Apple Cinnamon Sauce and didn't have that so I used liquid smoke, butter, cinnamon, and brown sugar to amke my sauce. It was really good. My husband and I watch you all the time and surely enjoy your programs. Keep giving us new ideas.

Even though I don't appreciate her using the show to hawk her sauce, I went out and bought it anyways. It was $5 for the jar and I'm glad I bought it. I think it needed to be cooked more or needed more bread crumbs, because it came apart as I was slicing it, but the flavor is great. The sauce tastes like a very sweet barbeque sauce. I don't get a lot of apple cinnamon flavor, but it's still good. Probably wouldn't buy it again, but glad I tried it.

I enjoyed this meatloaf very much, especially with the smoky apple cinnamon sauce. I just wish the sauce was available locally or there was an easy substitute. Good stuff!

I did not use Paula Deen's sauce because I couldn't find it locally, but I made the sauce recipe "can not find sauce" posted in their review and it turned out beautifully.
I do not at all like beef meatloaf because it's so fatty, I usually make mine with turkey, but this was perfection. I did stop halfway through and drain all the fat off what had cooked out so far simply because it was gross and it turned out perfectly moist. I think if I'd just let it cook without doing that it would have been too moist and falling apart. The sweet taste with the bacon topping it off was unique and my kids even liked it! I highly recommend!
I also ask those who have NOT tried the recipe to please not choose a rating. People like me who actually care about cooking the recipes rely on those and rating something you've never tried is silly and immature.
