This was very tasty the children loved it last year at Halloween. However I had quite a problem making it. There was no way that all that lunchmeat and cheese fit even rolling the dough thin. It kept tearing and I had to use about half of the interior ingredients. Please give me some advice for making it again this year. Who has success and which crescent roll size and brand did you use? Thanks.

Easy, FUN recipe. Made this with cherry pie filling. OMG, it was canned. The lady in Bellingham who left bad rating and cites fresh ingredients (not processed must have all day to make her meals. But does she have FUN? Must also have time after cooking to leave useless ratings.

I modified the shape for my holiday party and made it a candy cane instead of a snake. EVERYONE LOVED IT! Don't worry Paula, I gave you credit for this delicious recipe!

Hello everyone, I never made this before but I thought it was a great idea, im throwing a christmas party and I thougt It would be great to make instead of the snake, a candy cane, with red peppers as the red stripes of the cane. I hope you guys like my idea I thought it would be fun to play with it.

I made this for the GA vs. FL game and it made losing so much easier! Within 5 minutes of slicing this treat up it had disappeared with all of the hungry football fans! Next time I will make 2 or 3 for a party! Very easy and yummy!

Help! I did something wrong. When I went to serve my "snake" the bottom was soggy. I did not use Mont. Jack cheese. Instead, I had a mix of shreaded cheeses. Would that have made the bread so soggy? I used only 3 Tablespoons of the mustard. I am open to any suggestions as to why my snake flopped! I love the idea and the family loved the way it looked! Thank you for any suggestions!

My family loved this sandwich! The decorations are soooo cute! Mine turned out picture perfect. However, instead of using the sandwich meats Paula suggested I used cajun roast beef, and I added bell peppers, and onions to make it like a philly cheese sandwich.

I found this recipe years ago. It was such a HUGE success with my kids that they look forward to making their "snake" every Halloween. We make it for dinner before trick-or-treating. I have picky eaters so I just use a little mayo instead of mustard, ham, turkey and shredded cheese. I make the actual snake and then they get to "paint" it. It's a lot of fun for them. They wait all day to make their snake. Even the neighborhood kids get involved. It's a great way to start the night!
