I had my two grandkids over to make one Snake Bite apiece and they had a ball! I covered the dining room table with plastic, had all the ingredients sitting out and separated for each child. I used ham, salami and cheddar, but you can pick something they would like to eat. Use two cans of crescents per child, and not as much meat as it is difficult to roll. (read reviews. Try not to help too much, let them enjoy making their own, even though they're not perfect! They talked about this for a long time afterwards, so I had to let you all know.

I made 2 of these for the 4 grandkids and they didn't last a minute! They loved with butter; they loved them plain; they loved sliced with cheese in the middle!
Any ideas on how to do these for other holidays and special ocassions?

We made this with a group of kids for a Halloween bash, perfect for birthday parties, they loved it. I have the kids read a book, like Monster House and when done reading, we watch the movie of the same name and have a party, so, think of Eating Worms or a book like that and they'll love it.

I made this for my Husband's birthday party and he absolutely loved it! The kids could not leave it alone they thought it coolest thing ever-even the picky eaters. Although- I used turkey, chicken and roast beef as my deli meats.

I had a lot of fun making this recipe, and it was a big success at my party! It was a little hard to roll the dough thick enough, and it tended to split at the seems (this may have just been the brand of croisants, though. I also substituted the meats for turkey and ham, and it was really yummy!

My aunt made this last year at a Halloween themed cooking show. It was so delicious, I brought the recipe home. The kids had to have two snakes made every other day for about a week, if not two. They have asked for it again!

We had people over for a college football party the weekend prior to Halloween. My 13-year old daughter put the snake together and got rave reviews. She liked the creativity of decorating the snake and it was pretty darn tasty, too!
