I make this recipe all the time it's so fast and easy and great with my home made preserves. If your batter is too dry I add a little milkbut it is a very thick batter.I also like to add lemon zest to the flour and sprinkle sugar over the tops before baking.

OMG These are absolute heaven! Rich, silky, devine deliciousness! I added a little Parmesan and all I can say is WOW! I'm tempted to hide them before anyone else has them, HA, j/k. Sort of...

These went straight into the garbage. Yes, I used self-rising flour and they were awful and tasteless. Looked so good on the show. I bake all the time, will never make these again. These are definitely not muffins. I did expect them to be biscuits and even at that expectation they failed.

I love this recipe. The muffins are sooo good and so simple to make. This is the easiest bread recipe I have ever seen and no mess to clean up. I added a little sugar to mine and my kids love it. I make them for dinner sometimes but they are also great for breakfast. My family loves them. Thanks Paula!

I made these for a quick breakfast for 4 hungry teenage boys. I adjusted the recipe a little by adding a half a cup of sugar, even though they didn't rise as much as i thought they would - they turned out great! The sugar was a good addition, next time I'll sprinkle some on the tops, too! My son also mentioned he would love these for use in strawberry shortcake.

It is easy to make, but the result is not quite good as expected.
I made them for 3rd time today, I used the exact amount of butter, sour cream, and AP flour with baking soda and baking powder, I added some dry herbs for taste and baked them 30 min.
Well they did not rise at all, they were brown from outside and raw from inside, too buttery and sticky. The previous 2 times I used self rising flour , same result. I am using unsalted butter.
I would not try them more, there is something here that needs to be add or changed, and I think Paula needs to do it.
And please specify the grams for two sticks of butter, or cup of flour, there is a different size cups out there, this is also an international site, so some people in Europe do not measure is sticks. The way recipe appear at the moment, doesn't look professional to me.

Umm, these are amazing and SO simple! They taste exactly like a buttered biscuit. Its my new go-to bread recipe! It's seriously like making biscuits minus the huge mess, and they are so easy to make. I don't think you could mess them up! Really really good with jam or preserves.

Very mediocre muffins...a bit crumbly, but really "ho-hum" flavor. It was nice having only 3 ingredients, but I would have still wanted to wind up with a tasty muffin. The ease of preparation didn't compensate for the lack of taste.
