Everyone has loved this for something different other than salsa. Has been a big hit where ever I take it, and is so easy to make. Even the faint at heart (whimpy ones that don't like hot love it!!! Thank You Paula.

My husband and I loved this recipe! One question though, should I have "rinsed" the black eyed peas besides draining them? I didn't and it was awesome, but I couldn't help wonder if it wouldn't have been different if I would have also rinsed the black eyed peas (possibly a truer Italian dressing taste???. Either way it was fabulous!!!!

Tast similar to a fresh salsa. You can really kick up the spice.

    Great tasting & versatile recipe!
It can be used as an appetizer, a topper (potatoes, chicken, fish, beef,
in a salad, in rice or quinoa, Tex/Mex foods, or as a side dish. I love it!!!

I thought I would like this - but surprised when all the family (teens included ate it up! Even better the next day - if there's any left.

This is a great recipe! It was easy to make, and gets better with time...good to make way before the party! Being in the North, I could not find canned black eyed peas, so I used canned black beans. I also used a red onion. I would make it the same next time. I worried it would taste like Italian dressing, but it didn't, it just had a fresh taste. Husband said keep that recipe!!
