I love this recipe!! I don't have a cast iron pot, so I just let my brother in law make it. but then I have it for lunch... everyday for a week! that's right, nothing but baked beans! everyone makes fun of me for it, but they're just jealous!Read more

If you really want a Paula Deen recipie then go to her own website. How a dish is put together can make all the difference... in the outcome. The directions for this recipie reads completely different from the one on her website! Read more

    Easy & Delicious

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
This is SO good. I used a little more mustard to cut the sweetness a bit. I also cooked it on top of the stove for about 3... hours on a special setting that is lower than simmer. (It is July and too hot for the oven.) It came out delicious. I will definitely make these beans again. The recipe is good for a meal without leaving leftovers.Read more

    MUCH DIFFERENT RECIPE

Rated: 1 stars out of 5
If you are a fan of Paula Deen as I am, please DO NOT use the recipe from THIS WEB SITE, go to Paula Deen's web site and get... the right one. Too many important steps were omitted and the recipe is completly different. I trust Paula Deen and her expertice in the kitchen and I would make any dish she would and feel safe serving it to my family. But this recipe from the Food Network is pure rubbish and something I wouldn't serve to anyone I cared about.Read more

    1st time i made them

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
I made these for a graduation party Memorial Day weekend. Because I did not know how long food would be served I did them in... the crockpot. I cut up my bacon, put it in a plastic colander over a glass bowl and cooked it in the microwave to remove some of the grease. Also, did not want to put the raw bacon into the crock pot. I let it cook on high about 4 hours. Everyone raved about them. I had leftovers, I quadrupled the recipe, I sent them to another party the next day. According to everyone, they were better the second day.Read more
