I've been making this stuffing for several years now and it is absolutely delicious. Depending on what else I'm serving and ingredients I have on hand, I have made some slight variations from time to time, but the basic recipe still stands as one of the best. Babybrie - thanks for the tip about mixing up (minus the eggs the night before. It makes sense that the flavors would meld overnight; most things do taste better after sitting. I'm going to try that this year so I can focus on turkey prep tomorrow morning.

Thank you Babybrie! I have always made my own stuffings, kinda throwing in whatever I fancied at the moment so I am not always sure how set recipes will turn out if I change anything. I look forward to trying your approach. Happy Thanksgiving!

I always refrigerate mine overnight and add my eggs in the morning right before baking. This does not compromise it at all. In fact, it makes the dressing even better after seasoning all night. I usually double or triple the recipe every Thanksgiving for my husband to take to work for their celebration.

I just think that those who didn't like this recipe must have messed with it! This comes out perfect every time!!

DONT mess with the liquid to bread ratio; DONT use fresh bread; DONT expect it to taste like that nasty stuff out of a box. It's not supposed to!!

Also, cornbread from a mix should be outlawed and anyone using white (bleached, processed, and tasteless cornmeal should be arrested.
