I have been looking for a baked stuffing that was as moist an in the bird one. This stuffing is fantastic-the recipe is not complicated and the flavor and texture is wonderful. It got great reviews last Thanksgiving.
    Thanks Paula

My sister made this stuffing for our family Thanksgiving last year and it was a BIG hit. Even me, someone who never cared for stuffing fell in love! Its good hot and room temperature. Keeps well as a leftover-if there are any! This recipe is truly a GREAT addition to any Thanksgiving table.

I enjoyed this recipe. I would never have thought to put crackers in my cornbread stuffing but I thought it added good depth. The only thing I didn't like is that it turned out quite a bit mushier than I like my stuffing. I easily fixed that problem by adding less chicken stock. All in all, a recipe close to home!

Hi Paula,I always make my stuffing with cornbread and was beginning to wonder if I was the only one that used cornbread.I use 3 eggs, and a lot of black pepper, the poultry seasoning and sage.I toast the white bread and cube it.This was an excellant dressing, but just a little to many eggs.Thank you for printing this recipe for I was beginning to think I had been making it wrong all these years.I live in southern Texas so does that count as me being Southern. Thanks, jackie

This is a recipe I got from Paula's cookbook years ago that is a constant at every holiday meal I make. My family thinks that I must be related to Paula!!!

As usual, Miss Paula has done it again, the perfect Southern Stuffing. My family was delighted, and asked me to quit making my old stuffing and start making Miss Paula's!

I first tried this last Thanksgiving after the show aired. My family loved it! It does take time to make but, well worth the wait. Now, I make it quite often. I have even added chicken to it and that is a meal in it's self. It is asked for at every family gathering.

This cornbread stuffing reminds me of the real southern thing I grew up with. Maybe because Paula Deen and I are from the same town, but I'm glad to have this written down so I can use it. One thing, I like it crispier than my batch turned out, but that just means added a little less liquid and/or cooking it a little longer. But the taste is just right.
