I made this recipe for Thanksgiving this year, and I am certainly not going to wait until thanksgiving to make it again! I used Paula's cornbread (which is good because it's not a sweet bread mix like the Jiffy mix. self-rising mix was available at the local walmart and its so easy to make...i would never substitute anything. When making the stuffing, make sure it looks fairly soupy, adding the 5 eggs binds it together quite well. Definitly I used fresh sage, and the poultry seasoning, and lots of fresh pepper and salt. I loved this, Paula. Thanks for a recipe that is going permanently in my recipe box!

I'm glad I tried this stuffing. Eventhough it was still soupy in the middle the part that did cook was delicious. Now that I've made it I will use less stock next time or cook it in a shallow baking dish. Or cook it longer (1hr. It's definately worth it. I can't wait to have left-overs tonight.

This recipe is simply delicious. Could not be better. I had it for Thanksgiving dinner and all my family loved it. Makes a 13"x9"x2" pan so lots of left overs even after I sent some home with my daugher and her family. Paula did it up right with this recipe.

I am not a chef by any means. I am just learning how to cook some really good meals. My aunt, who is a cook by profession, did not have time to give me a recipe for cornbread dressing, but directed me to Paula's recipe. It was the best dressing that I have ever tasted in my life!!! My husband loved it!!! It was easy and I will definitely be cooking this again and again and again......

Thank you Paula for allowing me to cook the same way my late grandmother, who I called Mama, used to. This brought back so many memories. Thank you once again!
