Very easy and my chicken turned out great. I also used the batter to fry chicken livers that were very good as well.

This was a good fried chicken recipe, i liked the use of the hot sauce to give the chicken a lot of flavor. Thanks Paula.

I reduced the house seasoning salt to just 1/2 a cup and only used about 1/8 of the mixture to season my chicken, stored the rest for future use. Loved the crispy crust and it was pretty tasty.

Guys, SEASON the chicken with the House Seasoning, not put 1 cup of salt into the recipe! Anyhow, this was an excellent recipe, and I will use this as my "go to" for the picnic season.

After reading several reviews, I was cautious using the house seasoning, making just enough for this recipe.. I mixed 1 tablespoon salt, 1 teaspoon black pepper (I didn't have any garlic powder so used 1 tablespoon smoked paprika instead.
This was my first attempt at making fried chicken and it was lovely.
I shallow fried my chicken (for a few minutes till the outside was nice and crispy then transferred them into an 180 degree oven to finish cooking for 30 minutes.
Would definitely make this again. Thanks for the great recipe.
