Amazing! I made this for my family and it was super delicious. I made the seasoning and put it in an old spice container and shook it lightly over the chicken. It came out perfect.

This was good chicken. Just a note, some people seem confused by the directions. I took the directions to mean that you season the chicken with the House Seasoning, not dip it in the salt. That could be why others are finding it too salty. My other suggestion would be to actually use a deep fryer instead of a skillet. I know some were concerned about the hot sauce but you hardly notice it. The chicken is not spicy at all. I liked the recipe and would make it again.

There is definitely a reason this recipe has the great reviews. It's easily as good as the best fried chicken I've had at restaurants and not too difficult to prepare. I listened to other reviewers and went light on the house seasoning. (it can definitely make the chicken too salty if your not careful and should be used sparingly I also used Crisco in lieu of the peanut oil just to mix it up. There is no hot added from the hot sauce and the chicken only gets a tangy quality from it. Six of us ate this chicken and everyone raved. Try it. You won't be disappointed.

Hands down the perfect fried chicken....finally. I have tried all recipes and this is the best. Simple and easy. The key is basic salt, pepper, garlic powder and to boot; the cake flour makes the best crust. My entire family enjoyed this and this will be my staple, go to fried chicken....thanks Paula.

I have never, repeat, never made good fried chicken until I tried this recipe. I'm gonna do this with chicken tenders tomorrow just to see if I can!
Use common sense when seasoning. Please, don't put a cup of salt on a pound of chicken. I beg you.
There's also a video posted on here from one of her shows showing how to apply the seasoning and the process for creation. Might be worth a look for people who, like me, were perplexed on how to get great results from such an easy process.

It was very crispy and tasty and moist, however, the amount of salt was totally ridiculous. I used double the amount of chicken and 1/2 the amount of salt and the salt still burned my mouth. Salt it to taste and the recipe will be a winner. Will try it again.

Everyone who didn't like it said that it was too salty...what did y'all do coat the chicken in the season mixture...you were only supposed to season it a little, the lady who used butermilk instead of egg, um the recipe didn't ask for buttermild there for you should not be complaining

Just made this recipe last night and my family loved it. I was concerned that the hot sauce might be a little too spicy for my 8 yr old granddaughter but I followed the recipe to the letter and she LOVED it! This recipe is now in my rotation and I will use it again and again. I didn't mix the house seasoning in a jar (probably won't use it that much I just SPRINKLED my chicken with salt, pepper and garlic powder and I used my deep fryer to cook it. I used all legs and it took 14 minutes with my deep fryer set at 365. I had to cook it in two batches so I just kept the cooked chicken warm in the oven. It was so crispy and delicious and so easy! Thank you Paula for ANOTHER great recipe!
