    Grreeaatt Ffrriieed Chicken!

Paula you are awesome. My husband loves fried chicken, he could eat it everyday. I just love your recipes and enjoy watching you prepare them. You and your family are like a breath of fresh country air. The chicken was another great recipe to add to my Paula Deen Folder. I will use this recipe everytime I fry chicken. Love you Paula!

I can't wait to make this again, crispy, a little spicy, and wonderfully moist.

My name is Paula too and i love her show! I made this for my fiance and he absolutely loved it. I did however leave the chicken soaking in the marinade for a whole day and when you take that first bite, it was just so juicy and the flavor poped. I didn't have the same amount of chicken that called for it nor did i want to use that much hot sauce, so i did tune it down a bit, but it came out perfect! thanks paula!

I followed this recipe to the letter and was incredibly disappointed to find that the cook times are completely unrealistic, both for white and dark meat. Both came out underdone and bloody after the times given.

About the only fried chicken that has ever left me wanting more was from Stroud's Restaurant in Kansas City, MO. It's the kind of fried chicken that just melts in your mouth and has huge flavor when it touches your lips! I have never made fried chicken in my 25yrs of marriage because it always looked like it would be too difficult to master. I couldn't have been more wrong or pleasantly surprised! This deceivingly simple recipe packs more flavorful punch than any fried chicken I've ever tasted. I also thought the chicken would be too spicy hot with the amount of hot sauce used, but the result is a tangy, super-crunchy appetite satisfier that will please just about everyone sitting at your table...that is if your crowd will wait for the chicken to get to the table. I will never again tell my family to go the fast food route for fried chicken. This recipe is easier to prepare than it is to get in the car and go in search of a fast food fried chicken fix! I can see taking this to an office pitch-in ( or covered dish, pot luck, and/or carry-in depending on which part of this country you are from... This first time chicken fryer is now a veteran...and my family thinks it took me hours and hours to make! Brownie points never hurt, ya'know!

Here's the recipe for Paula's House Seasoning: 1cup salt, 1/4 cup black pepper, 1/4 cup garlic powder.Mix the ingredients together & store in an air-tight container for up to 6 months. Use as a seasoning on meat and when cooking vegetables.

This was the best recipe I have ever had for fried chicken. My family loved it, even my extremely picky husband. Definatly will be making again.

This was a great recipe...a little sticky with the eggs, hotsauce, and flour mixture, but oh so good and tasty! The hot sauce does not make the chicken taste hot...excellant!
