This was a great recipe. The chicken was juicy and took no time to cook at all. I think next time I will add some seasoning to the flour for more flavor. Thanks Paula!

Wow! That is good chicken! I was a little skeptical at first because it was a fast fried chicken recipe, but it was very juicy, tender and flavorful. I have tried several fried chicken recipes that required time to marinate and set. I am very pleased with the results of this quick recipe.
The one thing I did different is I just salt and peppered and used garlic powder to each piece instead of making the house seasoning. It gave me more control over how much seasoning I wanted to use.
I highly recommend this recipe!!!! Good comfort food!

Ok, you "too salty" folks. The recipe says season the chicken, not dredge in the house seasoning. I don't know about most folks, but I'm not accustomed to using a whole cup of salt, etc., to season one chicken...perhaps a little common sense, please?
If you don't plan to keep the house seasoning around for future use, cut the recipe. Four tablespoons = 1/4 cup. So use 1/4 cup salt, 1 Tb each of pepper and garlic powder. Still, just season; you don't have to use it all. You could even use 2 Tb salt and 1 1/2 tsp each pepper and garlic powder, if you're judicious about waste.
I should note this is a fabulous recipe! I'd been searching for a decent fried chicken recipe for a long time, and this one is a favorite. Usually, I substitute buttermilk for the hot sauce, as my young children won't eat spicy food, but I think tonight I'll try sneaking a few tablespoons of Crystal in it and see what happens.
Thank you, Ma'am!!

Paula this was by far the best fried chicken we ever ate... My husband and I made this recipe and brought it to a BBQ, it was a croud pleaser. I will be making this dish again & again, we also made your cream biscuits on the side, D-E-L-I-S-H!!!!
Thanks Paula,
