i just have to say, i'm sure no one used a whole cup of salt on this recipe. that being said i simple coated the chicken in the house mixture as the recipe calls for, and it was still to salty and inedible. it was a waste of time and money... on top of the salty mixture, once i put the chicken in the frying pan all coating came off the chicken and i was basically left with a plain salty chicken breast..

i ended up throwing away about 8 pieces of chicken. this one didn't work for me.

My market did not have Texas Pete's hot sauce but did have their buffalo wing sauce so I used that. Thought the flavor was great (not at all too spicy. I bought chicken breasts and had the butcher leave the skin on but remove the bone. Were completely pink in the middle when I took them out which is why I can only give this recipe three stars. Think next time I will use Paula's ingredients and Ina's flash fry/ oven method.

Followed the recipe as written. Very easy! I thought it might come out too spicy, but it was just right. a lot of flavor, great texture. A nice recipe to have when you don't have the time to marinate the chicken. Fast and easy!

I saw Paula cook the fried chiken on a late night talk show. I don't eat or cook fried chicken alot, but when I do, I will follow this recipe from here on out. I would have EVER thought to use egg and hot sauce.

This chicken was easy to do. I followed the directions exactly. I wouldn't change a thing. Chicken was crispy and juicy with just the right amount of flavour. I didn't have self rising flour so I used all purpose and added 1 1/4 teaspoon of baking powder per cup. This is now my fried chicken recipe. Thanks Paula

Made this tonight & was thrilled with the result. .I was afraid that a cup of hot sauce would make the chicken way too spicy or hot- but it was great. Perfect fried chicken and so easy. Sure to be a family favorite. Thanks Paula!

The "House" seasoning is a recipe in its self. Your only suppose to use some of the season. The seasoning is suppose to be done SEPERATE. Just dont douse the whole mix on the meat!!!!!
