wonderful, wanted to let the lady know what shrimp boil is--can buy it under the brand name "Zatarains". it is spices you will put in the water that you boil your shrimp in. it is kind of hard to understand us southern cooks sometimes. the cooking is wonderful and sometimes you just gotta be from the south to understand the recipe. hope this helped.

I omitted the olives because my husband does not care for them so I just added some salt to take place of the the saltiness of the olives! Turned out great!

Thanks Paula, I just recently became a stay at home mom and had to start doing the cooking my kids almost died. My husband did all the cooking so this was like my debut and this shrimp salad was the praise at my dinner table. I just added Purple onions, celery and Avocado. I guess everyone just has to season to taste.
    Thanks for saving me.

I was pretty disappointed in this. It didn't taste bad, it actually tasted just how it sounded - lots of mayo on some chopped shrimp with onion and some green olives. If that sounds appealing to you, make it. Otherwise, I felt like it was a waste of 2lbs of shrimp. I brought it to a potluck and heard only one complement from a group of about 30.

I love you Paula! This recipe was great! I added some green onions instead of white, and added celery but left out the olives because of a few green olive haters. My neighbor called five minutes after I sent her home with some to tell me that this was the best shrimp salad she had EVER had! The whole family just loved it. I was short all the shrimp but had a small bag of baby scallops that I added and it came out fantastic! Another winner!

So good it makes me want to slap my mama...TWICE! And my mother-in-law THREE times!

I did add finely chopped celery to give it some crunch, did everything else per recipe. I've been back and forth to the fridge all day for just one more spoonful. YUM!
