Finally! The tea cake recipe I have been craving.

Rated: 5 stars out of 5
Yes, I crave true Southern tea cakes. My aunt made them for me when I was young, and I never got her recipe. The closest I... have ever come is a bakery and cafe in Franklin, TN. My son and his family lived there for 8 years, and I always had to go to that wonderful bakery and cafe, just off the downtown area, and fill up a bag to bring back to Texas with me. Truth be told, very few made it to the Texas border. Now, Paula has given me the recipe that is the closest to my aunt's and brings back wonderful memories. Not too sweet, thick and yummy. Maybe this is a Southern thing, don't know, but it shouldn't be. Everyone should try them and start making memories of your own. Thank you, Paula, and please keep the great Southern traditions of good food, family and fun so we can all keep enjoying our own comfort foods. Love ya!Read more

All the receipes you make are wonderful and these are no eception, but the reason I am writing is to thank-you for featuring... The Savannah Tearoom on this show. It brought back memmories for me of my mother and I when I was in my teens and we lived in Clolrado and there was a tea room in the Mall and we would go and have tea and sandwiches, just her and I. We live far apart now but those were good times and I hope we can make some new ones again, Thank you again. You are a very special person, God Bless You.Read more
