Came out excellent. Even better as leftovers, my family loved it. I added cooked shrimp at the end along with the peas. I did not have saffron so I used 1 1/2 packages of SAZON by Goya seasoning especally for paellas.
A message to: Maryellen from Malvern, AR. Try the above mentioned seasoning. It is located at any food store in the seasoning section or the GOYA (spanish section. I only paid $1.29 for a box of 6 seasoning packages.

I, too, am irritated about some of the ratings already given. Clearly you have to try the recipe in order to rate it! I bought a small container of saffron for $3.99 and I did not find that to be terribly expensive.
But on to the important stuff...this is SO good. I made it for my husband on his birthday and paired it with the Rose Sangria (recipe from Bobby Flay. This was an excellent combination!

This recipe is awesome. I saw it on the show and had to make it the next day. My only recommendation would be to add extra black pepper or something to give it just a little heat.
It was also great the next day.

I went to many stores looking for saffron. It is expensive!!! I cook for my husband and I. I do not want have to use an ingredient that is so expensive. Please create reciepts that the common folk can afford. I asked if there was a something else I could use in place of saffron. No one knew so can you use something less expensive instead of saffron? Help!

I saw the recipe on tv and tried it the same day. The chicken was so tender and the rice with the other ingredients was out of this world.

This dish was not only E-A-S-Y but absolutely mouthwatering delicious! It was just spicey enough to tingle but not too hot! One could really enjoy the flavors this dish offers. You really need to come to the table hungry for this one. And even after I ate and found myself wanting just one more taste!
