It's was good and a nice departure from traditional cider, however it was a bit too tart for me. I added 2/3 c sugar to sweeten it a bit. And like some of the other posters I used orange and lemon slices for garnish. I didn't have any whole cloves so I added ground clove.

Yucky! I try a lot of Paula's recipes and most are good, but this was not a home-run. I made this last year for our family Thanksgiving get together, nobody like it. Way too much lemon for our taste. I even tried to add sugar to balance out the tartness of the lemon, but it was still not good, ended up pouring most of it down the drain. I'll try another recipe this year.

I doubled this recipe and served it at a charity party at my home. I think it was a great alternative to the wine. Many people commented on how yummy it was! Still sipping on some & the partys over, lol. Can't go wrong with a Paula Deen recipe!

MADE THIS RECENTLY FOR A CHRISTMAS PARTY AND ALTHOUGH THERE WAS WINE LEFT OVER, NOT A SINGLE DROP OF THE CIDER REMAINED. IN THE MORNING OF THE DAY OF THE PARTY, I HEATED CIDER WITH 2 CINNAMON STICKS AND SOME APPLE SLICES AND CLOVES. NICE, OKAY, BUT THEN I FOUND THIS RECIPE!. SO I STRAINED THE CIDER AND ADDED THE LEMON AND ORANGE JUICES . WOW...SOME DIFFERENCE. I USED MARTINELLI'S CIDER (WHICH IS THE BEST , I THINK AND THE JUICES, ESPECIALLY THE LEMON (WHICH WAS NOT PRONOUCED ADDED A DEPTH OF FLAVOR THAT (APPARENTLY APPEALED TO EVERYONE!. VERY, VERY PLEASED WITH THIS RECIPE. (ALSO, FLOATED ORANGE AND LEMON SLICES IN THE CIDER WHICH I KEPT WARM IN A CROCK POT. MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL.

I made the recipe but instead of 1/2 c of lemon and orange juice, I added 3/4 C of each. I also added about 1 tsp of ground cinnamon since I didn't have any cinnamon sticks and 1/2 C brown sugar. My family loved it. It disappeared really fast. I'll be making this again very soon.

I love hot apple cider, but sometimes, it's a bit sweet for me. This recipe solves that problem -- the addition of a touch of lemon and orange juices really complements the apple. Love the combination of flavors!

I made this for a whole crowd this past weekend while we had a pumpkin decorating party. It made the whole house smell wonderful and the taste was even better. Lighter than traditional ciders- it was all gone while my "Hard Punch" (with alcohol in itfor the grownups was still there at the end of the night!
Will definitely do this one again!

I made this one cold snowy night when we had some friends over playing cards. Everyone raved about it. I added 1/4 cup of brown sugar to give it just a little sweetness. I will be making this recipe alot.

I made this recipe last year for a church event, this year everyone was asking for this recipie again. everyone was disapointed when it was a different recipie from someone else. I love it! I am planning on making it again for my family all through the holidays!
