Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups apple cider vinegar
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 lemons, juiced
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons celery seed
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 4 tablespoons butter

Directions

Bring all ingredients to a boil until peanut butter dissolves. Stir to avoid sticking. Lower the heat and simmer for 20 minutes.

    Very tasty! For those that thought it was too tart - did you even read how much vinegar was in it? If you think it's too runny - just add 2 Tablespoons of cornstarch to thicken it up. I'm planning to use this on some barbecued chicken tonight. Without the cornstarch, it will make a perfect Thai peanut dipping sauce for summer rolls! I amped it up a bit with some diced fresh jalapenos.

    Most excellent. It's a vinegar sauce. Very North Carolina and very, very tasty. The peanut butter is perfect in it, as is the celery seed.

    It's a thin sauce not a thick sauce. It's as it's supposed to be. If you don't like thin vinegar sauces, definitely find another recipe.
