I made this recipe to add to shredded beef, and it had SO much vinegar we couldnt eat it! Not only that but it was so thin that I had to thicken it! The house still smells like vinegar. In the end we had to put the beef into a colander and rinse it off and then just put on bottled BBQ sauce, and it still was strong!!!!!!

    PLEASE PLEASE fix this!!!!!

Followed the recipe exactly. It's like water and can't be put on anything unless you use it as a marinade.

This barbecue sauce was not what I expected at all. In my opinion it wasn't spicy at all and the consistancy was way too thin. Obviously this is a vinegar based sauce but does anybody think the 1 1/2 cups of cider vinegar could maybe be a misprint. I had to light a candle in my kitchen to get the smell of vinegar out!

The sauce is glorious, and much simpler to make than most really good vinegar based sauces. The bad reviews I put down to regional tastes. In the southeast, this is what barbecue sauce is supposed to taste like.

Great. Using peanut butter was a new one on me. Very much like E.NC style.

BBQ sauce should not be sweet.

The sauce was extremely sour tasting due to a lack of sugar and too much vinegar. I would not make it again.

This is some VILE stuff! Way too tart. I saved it by adding 1 1/2 cups of brown sugar, and about a cup of ketchup, and a splash of grenadine becasue I thought it neede something "fruity". I served it, but doubt very seriously that I'll make it again.

Stephen, my Husband, rated this recipe before he tasted it on our pork chops, which were wonderful, but he'd already rated it! This is GOOD STUFF!
