I made this ahead to be served on Thanksgiving Day. I tripled the recipe with no problem, and have lots left over in my freezer. This is a wonderful casserole, although, due to my husband's hypertension, I don't use sale. Those (including myself who want it can add it later. A great dish.

I love squash and zucchini and this recipe is one of the best side dishes I've ever tasted. I will definitely make this one again.

I have many recipes for squash casserole, but after trying this one, I will only use this recipe from now on! It is easy to prepare, and tastes delicious. I serve it with grilled steaks and Paula's famous tomato pie and it's a true summer feast!

I don't generally care too much for squash, but this was great! Next time, will add butter to the Ritz topping.

This casserole is wonderful. Flavors go with absolutely any main entree. Also, another interesting way to get kids to eat their veggies.

I would only make two changes...first, I agree with the poster who said her next version would include crackers in the filling. I'll try that too. I alsos think the seasoning is a little mild for such rich dish, it needed a spark of some kind. Maybe a little Essence or Cajun seasoning next time. These are small quibbles, though. It's good the way it is but I think the richness needs a lively counternote.

A great dish for anyone with a garden who grows squash. Is very tasty. I fed it to a large group of people at a club everyone wanted the recipe. Flavors blend beautifully.
