I LOVE Paula Deen but this wasn't one of my favorite recipes. It was very easy to make but the texture is funky. Tastes kinda bland and chewy at first then you get the chocolate flavor at the end. Its not sweet at all. I think using a semi sweet chocolate would be better. I didn't put any nuts in it because some people in my family are allergic to nuts. I don't think I will be making these again. Sorry Paula.

They were very easy to make, and were gone by the next morning after I made them. I used pecans instead of walnuts as I prefer pecans. Next time I would like to try to use cashews

Made this recipe last night and they were gone fast! My family loved them. I made them a little bit to big, but they were still very tasty. After reading some reviews, I wanted to use the parchment paper but did not had any so I used lots, lots, lots and lots of cooking spray on the cooking sheet to make sure they will not stick and they did not.

I followed everyone's suggestion to use parchment paper and they couldn't have been easier. Something you could make last minute.

My husband drove to the store today to get the ingredients to make these again. A huge family hit. Use PAM on the cookie sheets and they come off easily.

I thought these cookies were WONDERFUL!! It was easier after I read the tips from everyone else. Definitely have to use parchment paper to get them off!!
(As for the "honesty is the best policy" review.... I think that everyone is being honest. Just because you had trouble and don't like them, then don't knock those of us who do!

This is a great recipe to add to your collection. These cookies are simple, and I usually have most of the ingredients in my pantry. They are very moist and taste like thin, chewy brownies in cookie form - YUM! I read about the problems with them sticking, so I baked them on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper - when they are done, just pull the paper off the sheet and let them cool. They peel right off.

Paula has another winner with these cookies. Be careful not to eat too many! They are the best.

Not only were these cookies impossible to get off the cookie sheet, they didn't taste very good either. I threw the whole batch out.
