This recipe makes a wonderful light dessert. My husband and I had it at our wedding rehearsal and I have been trying to find the recipe for it ever since. Thank you Paula!

Paula,
I made a receipe very similar to this but without the pineapple. There are many diabetics in my family, so adjustments must be made. I use Splenda instead of sugar and it does wonderfully. I also use fat-free whipped topping and Sugar-free Jello. One exception I don't make is low-fat margarine or butter. The low-fat version has too much water and doesn't hold the pretzels together as well. I also added a 1/2 cup chopped pecans to the crust mixture. For the person who said it was too wet, You must make sure the cream cheese mixture seals the crust well.

This is so easy and everyone loves it! I just made this for T-Day, and I used crushed graham crackers instead of pretzels. It turned out just as good, if not better.

Delicious juxtaposition of sweet, salty, and creamy to satisfy all your taste buds at once. My mother made it, adding chopped, toasted pecans to the crust for an added dimension. Great for a covered dish or a holiday spread.

I made this dessert for a "Dessert Lunch Party" that some of us girls had at work and everyone loved it! I did leave out the pineapple, but it was still delicious! This will be a recipe that I make over and over again! Thanks for the great recipes, Paula! You never let me down!

I have made this recipe several times for my church potluck. It is always the first dessert to go. The sweetness of the strawberries and the creaminess of the cream cheese mixture with the saltiness of the pretzels is an out of this world taste sensation. I highly recommend this one. Just make sure you allow the cream cheese mixture to chill thoroughly before adding the strawberry jello mixture.
