This has been one of my mom's 'secret' recipes for years. I didn't try it for the longest time . . . but fell in LOVE with this recipe when I finally did prepare it. Mom's recipe doesn't call for pineapple . . . I made Paula's recipe, and lo and behold that was the secret ingredient that's been missing ;- Thanks Paula.

I tried this salad last night; it was the hit of the meal. I followed the recipe exactly - didn't change a thing. The taste was refreshing, sweet, a little salty - perfect. I will laminate this recipe!

Wow! What a yummy dish! I made it Thanksgiving, and it was the hit of the entire meal. Guests ate it at dinner, had more for dessert, and ate even more as a late-night snack! If you want to impress your friends and family and be the star of your next get-together, make this!! (P.S. for Carol who wondered about the frozen strawberries with liquid. I used it all, and it turned out great.

This recipe is just "outta this wurld" as Paula would say! Made this the day before Thanksgiving, but I now realize you can make it even 2 days before. Make sure you seal all around the edges of your dish with the cream cheese maixture as it will "seal" your crust from the liquid of the jello until it molds. Question: I used frozen strawberries that comes with a syrup/juice. I got scared it wouldn't gel with all that liquid so I kept a lot of it out. It came out great, but it was a guessing game on my part. Was I supposed to use frozen strawberries PERIOD, without the juice? Thanks for your help!

When I saw the name of the salad, my first reaction was strawberry and Pretzels. How good can that be? After reading over the ingredents and all the reviews, I can't wait to try it. I know this will be a new added favorite with our family tradition.

I've made this recipe for years, (minus the pineapple as my recipe didn't call for it, and it is heavenly!
