This was a huge hit with family members and everyone wanted the recipe! I followed the recipe exactly & it was perfect. The only suggestion is do spread the cream cheese layer all the way to the edge of your pan. I made it to serve as a salad & it was used as a salad, a dessert, & everything in between! I will definitely be making it again & again!

I made this for a church picnic and I only got a little taste of it. There were all kinds of desserts and mine was the first one to go. Make sure to "seal" the pretzel crust well by covering them completely with the cream mixture- make sure that this is cool and that the jello is slightly set so that it won't be so warm and runny to get to make the pretzels soggy. Also, use real butter. SOOOOO delicious!

I have made this several times, as well as my husband. Here are a couple of tips.

I sprinkle a little sugar over the pretzel prior to baking, forms a nice crust, prevents soggy pretzels.
Put the cream cheese all the way to the edge of the pan and put in the refrigerator to firm up before putting on the jello.
    Do not drain the pineapple.
Let jello mixture cool before pouring onto cream cheese.

Is the pineapple to be drained?

Maybe its just me but I let the jello cool and then poured it over the the rest of the layers. Well it turned out awful. The jello seeped thru the layers and everyhting ended up mush. I was so dissappointed. I thought the layers tasted great seperately and was looking forward to them together, but for me it just didn't work out.

I made this for Thanksgiving, and it was the only dish that was gone at the end of the meal. Everyone loved it, so I made another pan to eat with the Thanksgiving leftovers the next day. It is terribly unhealthy, so when I made it again this week I used low fat cream cheese, cool whip light, cut the amount of butter by 1/3, and cut the sugar in the cream cheese layer by half. It was still amazing. Thanks Paula!
