Easy and quick to prepare recipe. I made it without adjustments for a party and everyone LOVED it. I read the negative reviews prior and I agree that more glaze would have been nice. However, my daughter made it a second time (because she loved it so and made the error of cooking the glaze too long. Therefore, it came out way too congealed which may have been why there are some negative reviews. Also, the size of the angel food cake varies by store a larger one will require more glaze. The first time I made this recipe, I had a smaller cake purchased from Whole Foods versus the larger one my daughter used from another store. I would advise to watch Paula's video to see how to cook the glaze to ensure you achieve the correct consistency. I did not find this dessert overly sweet, neither did any of the party guests. Many came back for seconds.

Nice, easy recipe. Some adjustments I made after having made this the listed way, which was WAY too sweet for me and my buddies.
Doubled the amount of glaze made, but kept only 1 cup of sugar. There was not enough glaze, I thought, after it had thickened. Refrigerating the glaze for about 30 mins will help it thicken.
Used only half the condensed milk and had lite versions of the whipped cream and cream cheese.

I am really not sure about this dessert. It tasted like melted marshmallows with strawberries. The glaze didn't gel up for me as shown in the video and we cooked it for a long time; not sure what happened there. The glaze also had a metallic after taste. I am giving it two stars because it was just ok.

I'm with Maggiead. I, too, am an accomplished cook--50 years!--and this dessert is terrible. Twice I've made it based on reviews, the first time thinking I must have done something wrong. But I did not. Made it again for our Easter dessert today doubling the glaze as others suggested--ugh. Nothing happens to the angel food cake--dry, doesn't absorb the glaze which gels up--nothing more than Jell-O with strawberries. I believe it's the worst dessert I ever made. Reviews are puzzling. Tyler's lemon curd trifle with berries--yum!

Amazing! I made this during the holidays after my husband bought an abundance of strawberries from the produce market. We absolutely loved it! I followed the recipe to a T. In the future I will use whipped cream cheese as the original was hard to incorporate into the other ingredients as it was so thick.

I made this originally for a co-worker for her birthday. Now everyone asked me to make it for their birthdays! It's a fantastic dessert that "hits the spot". I doubled the glaze recipe, including the water but not the sugar, or it will be way too sweet. If you haven't tried this recipe, trust me, you can't go wrong. It's D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S!
