I made this just as written and although it does taste good it's practically impossible to eat more than a couple spoonfuls. It's WAAAYYYY to sweet. I don't think people should give five star reviews to a recipe you have to alter to make palatable. Just saying.

I really like this recipe. The presentation is beautiful. I tripled the glaze recipe except for the sugar.

I made this tonight and it was great!! My husband and I loved it! The only difference was I doubled the recipe for the glaze but only used 1 cup of sugar for it. To me its a must because if not it won't be enough to cover both layers. I will definitely make this again!

I have now made this three times and it always gets compliments! I bake a box cake mix, and I doube the glaze recipe but not the sugar, thanks Paula!!

I've made this several times already in the past year. I am finally reviewing it since I've never gotten to it but know that it deserves its positive review by now. It is delicious. This desert makes a perfect summer sweet treat. My whole family enjoys it and have asked me to do it again for them. It is definite worth making.

This is my signature summer potluck dish. My family loves it and it always receives a ton of compliments. I'm not sure why some people gave it one star...a matter of taste maybe? You do have to double the glaze (I slightly reduce sugar too but other than that it's delicious and I look forward to summer every year so I can start making it again!

great recipe, I have made this numerous times in the 4 years I have had it. I did increase the glaze recipe and used pound loaf cake instead but other than that it is a true to the recipe. I had to look it up for fathers day as this is my husband's favorite recipe!
