    Sorry to burst every1's strawberry but, this recipe already excisted long before paula. Because I've made this before, I got my recipe from Taste Of Home it was called Strawberry Angel Dessert.
    So if you want the recipe go to tasteofhome.com type in Strawberry Angel Dessert .This 1 is excellent

    Mother made this glaze more than 50 years ago, but she always cooked the water, sugar, & cornstarch until it thickened & THEN added the strawberry jello. Cooking the jello seems to toughen the glaze. Makes sense because when you're making simple jello, you don't boil the dry jello mixture in the water; it's added AFTER the water boils.

    I MADE THIS RECIPE AS LISTED- BUT DOUBLED THE STRAWBERRIES AND IN THE GLAZE I USED ONLY 1/2 CUP SUGAR AND ONLY 2 T. CORNSTARCH. THAT WAY, IT WAS NOT QUITE AS SWEET AND NOT TOO THICK. I ALSO USED A YELLOW CAKE MIX AND CUT IT INTO LARGE CHUNKS. IT CAME OUT PERFECT. I THINK A POUND CAKE WOULD BE NICE TOO, AS IT WOULD HAVE MORE BODY THAN ANGEL FOOD.

    This was my first strawberry shortcake to ever make and it turned out awesome! My father-in-law requested it for his birthday and everyone truly enjoyed it! The girls kept commenting on how beautiful it was!

    SO DELICIOUS, BUT MUCH TO SWEET ..ANYWAY TO KEEP THIS WONDERFUL RECIPE SO GOOD, BUT CUT DOWN ON THE SWEETNESS.
