Everything went great with this recipe except for the most important part--- the strawberry glaze!!!!! it tasted like medicine with a completely ARTIFICIAL taste! I couldnt use it at all in the recipe, I ended up making my own strawberry glaze. I do not know if it was because of the gelatin (Jello kind or what but it definitely needs a lot of work. And I always use recipes from food network, this one simply missed a big mark.

my don't really like my desserts really sweet so I used sugar free jello and just a little bit of sweetened condensed milk. My family doesn't like angel food cake so I baked my own pound cake. They really loved it. great hit!

I followed recipe exact and it was delicious. Everything tasted wonderfull and I didn't have any of the problems other people stated. Glaze tasted perfect and was just the right consistancy. I did let it simmer stirring constantly for 5-7 minutes. I'm sure this will be my new request for get togethers. The only thing I would change next time would be to break up the angel food cake into pieces for each layer.

I had lots of strawberries and wanted to make a delicious dessert for my family. This recipe is simple, quick and very delicious. I changed it only a bit by adding the strawberries in while the glaze was still warm and used a lot more strawberries. I also added more cool whip so that it wasn't too sweet. I made it in plastic tumbler glass and topped it with half a strawberry and blueberries. My mother thought they were store bought and my boyfriend fell in love with the dessert, of course.
